How Is Mobility Changing The Face Of The Telepresence Market?
Clearly, from a cultural perspective in the domestic realm, mobility is on our phones, our [Apple] iPads, our smart devices, and so video collaboration is at our fingertips. And, quite frankly, the enterprise is trying to catch up in terms of how they incorporate video-at-our-fingertips into their video strategy.
Think about how the public cloud is influencing communications and how corporations on the enterprise side with the private cloud are trying to catch-up. [They're asking] "how can a private cloud act in a similar fashion to the public cloud?" And video is a great application on that. In the public realm, video is easy -- it's FaceTime, it's Skype, it's on our phone -- but it's actually more difficult for corporate enterprises to adapt to that. So we see that as a game-changer: how we support that and how we drive that.
