The reason for many security exploits is that companies aren't properly managing their security process and user accounts, Michael Knight, president and CTO at Greenville, S.C.-based Encore Technology Group, said. Knight said he personally has around 60 personal and work-related accounts he had access to. That becomes a problem, Knight said, if the account is compromised or if the user leaves and intentionally or unintentionally becomes an insider threat. Knight said Encore has developed a practice and a platform to help clients automate management of their identities and use a single sign on and authorization point.
