10 Lessons For Solution Providers From XChange Security University

1. There's A Need To Share Threat Intelligence

Aharon Chernin, chairman of the CTI STIX subcommittee, which advocates for a standardized language for structured cyber threat intelligence, said many industries have moved to make machines better able to speak to one another. Security now needs to do the same with threat intelligence, he said. If that were to happen, he said companies would be better able to integrate their solutions and protect against threats in a coordinated way, lessening the need for expensive security analysts.

"My hope is at some point that you can plug a device into your network that’s aware of what your communities are talking about and [creating alerts] without having to build a large segregated analyst team," Chernin said.
