8. Security Is High-Stakes For Solution Providers

Security presents a big opportunity for solution providers, but it’s also a high-risk endeavor, according to Kevin McDonald, executive vice president and chief information security officer at Alvaka Networks and president and CISO at Noloki Cyber Defense. McDonald said solution providers have a responsibility to understand local regulatory requirements, and be careful when they’re involved in a forensic investigation of a breach. That being said, McDonald said making the jump into security is "definitely worth it."
