2. Do Women Get Less Respect?

Lipman discussed how men and women want and show different forms of respect in the workplace. For instance, as part of the gender bias in society, women may feel as if men treat other men with more respect than men show toward women.

However, said Lipman, women also may show more respect for men in the workplace than they do for other women.

"We all want respect … new research suggests that women don't give other women the same respect that they give to men," she said.
