4. Majority Of Solution Providers Are Working In The Cloud

About two-thirds – 68 percent – of respondents are making money off the cloud. And about two-thirds of that group indicated that they’re “driving significant revenue and profit” from cloud. Separately, another 12 percent have established a toehold in the cloud and are starting to implement it with some customers.

Cloud was an oft-addressed topic at the conference. In one session, a panel of vendors and distributors said partners that are looking to expand should double down on cloud.

In another session, a group of solution providers said partners must change their sales compensation models, create internal vendor management resources and hire more application architects to succeed in the cloud.
