2. Partner Networks May Grow

Expanding business won’t cannibalize some of the solution providers’ current revenue base, attendees indicated. Over 91 percent of respondents said they plan to expand into new practice areas, while most of those – 76 percent - expect it won’t cut into revenue with their current technology suppliers and vendor partners.

Most solution providers already appear to be in expansion mode, as 70 percent said they have added competitive technology suppliers and vendor partners to their offerings within the last year.

Mike Cherico, president of strategic business development, for Tier3MD, an Atlanta-based solution provider for the health care industry, says his company’s technology portfolio has grown, and he plans to grow it further, possibly in cloud computing, so he can provide “additional solutions to our existing customers.” That could mean bringing on a new vendor partner.
