Q&A With Leap The Pond CEO: Here's Why We're Growing

(Part 1 of 2) You also focus on data analytics. What things have you enabled your customers to see when it comes to some of the back-office functions?

We very much think about us not so much as providing an accounting solution or a financial solution as [providing] a solution to help organizations manage their business. There are two aspects to that: surely one of them is around supporting the process - the order-to-cash process, the procure-to-pay process - but I think even more importantly, it's all of the information that’s collected through those. One of the things [in which] Intacct [is] incredibly unique is that we are able to enable them … to track information about their business. If you go way, way back, what we're able to do is sort of let companies set up their natural chart of accounts [the typical categories of revenue] and how do you want to track your expenses.

What Intacct allows us to do for our customers, and then for our customers to be able to do - is that for every single transaction, to apply dimensions to those transactions. Who's the customer? Who's the vendor? What's the product or service that’s being delivered? What project is it associated with? … what employee might it be associated with?
