10. Having No Closing Strategy

You can't just hope a deal crosses the finish line. You have to push the deal across yourself. Having said that, be prepared for your competition to take a deal away from you.

A great way to come up with a closing strategy is figuring out where your customer needs help and what you can offer that your competitor does not that will help your customer out. That is your deal closer.

It should be in the back of your mind throughout the deal: How are you going to close this?
