MSP Opportunity: Reduce Clients' Software 'Waste'

So, What's 'Waste?'

The report defines it as any piece of software that has been deployed to a desktop but is not being run by the user. Meanwhile, a software title is determined to be "unused" if it has not been run within the past 90 days and "rarely used" if not run within the past 30. "Total waste" is the combined sum of both.

1E's survey, which examined nearly 150 companies ranging in size from 700 to 350,000 users, concluded that 38 percent of software running in businesses in the U.S and the U.K. is being wasted, with a value of $34 billion.
