Accept Change In The Mobile Segment
Finally, Pickard stressed that the number one lesson for solution providers is the need to embrace change in the IT industry, particularly in the mobile segment. However, he said it's also important for value-added resellers to stick to their own core competencies and accept new technologies and trends.
"If you're in the IT industry and do not accept change, you're in the wrong industry," said Pickard. "Providers in our field have to be nimble, they have to be able to see what trends that customers are driving. We need to do this for our customers. They're the ones driving the change as well, and that's not going to stop."
