"Engineers have so much choice." The challenge is how to keep those folks once they've been hired. "You have to be a great place where people want to hang out. You have to provide a compelling experience for a period of time; look at employees as vendors for a period of time. They're joining a boss or a project, not a company. For old-world companies, this is scary."
