How Volunteering Can Pay Off For Business

Embedding Volunteerism Into The Culture

Thirty-eight percent of respondents say their employers provide access to company-sponsored or coordinated volunteer programs. Meanwhile, 69 percent of Americans surveyed said they're not volunteering as much as they would like, and of that group, 62 percent say they cannot dedicate time during the day to volunteering.

That provides an opening for employers, according to Deloitte's Marshall.

"Employers have an opportunity to build on their volunteerism programs by creating a culture that celebrates volunteering and empowers volunteers to be more active," he said in a statement.
