In the largest set of new product introductions its Wyse brand has made, Dell this week introduced two new thin-client products: the Wyse 7040, designed to meet the high security requirements of the federal government, and the Wyse 3030 LT (pictured), an affordable high-security solution. At the same time, Dell introduced the latest version of its thin client operating system, ThinOS 8.3, and introduced Wyse ThinLinux and the latest version of its management software, Wyse Device Manager 5.7. The Dell Wyse 7040 comes configured with Windows Embedded Standard 7p at launch, and will be Windows 10 IoT-ready. Security features include Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and BitLocker. The line can also be protected with Dell Data Protection | Threat Defense.
