IoT Partnership For Cloud-Based Air Conditioners

IoT software specialist Ayla Networks teamed up with China-based Changhong to launch a new generation of cloud-based smart air conditioners.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Ayla will provide IoT cloud technology and cloud platform support for Changhong's air-conditioning products worldwide. The companies will be able to perform over-the-air updates of software continuously. The partnership will lead to the creation of smart air-conditioning products outside China, according to a statement.
