Employees Keep Taking These Five Mobile Security Risks

How Much Do Employees Actually Care About Protecting Work Data?

Sixty percent of employees care least about protecting the work data on their phones. The survey found that instead, 76 percent of smartphone users would take the most steps to protect their personal information, and 16 percent would take the most steps to protect information about their family. However, only 5 percent of those surveyed would take the most steps to safeguard their work information.

These results show that smartphone users prioritize personal data as opposed to work-related data. Mobile devices are a computing platform for both work and personal life, and Lookout stressed it is critical to ensure safety under both spheres.
