CRM Leads The Way In Cloud Use
Customer relationship management is the most widely used cloud-based system of record, but companies have plans to move other systems to the cloud, including sales and human resources, the CSA survey found.
About 36 percent of survey respondents said their companies have moved CRM to the cloud. IT service management is second (31 percent), followed by human resources management (24 percent), CSA said. But if most other companies follow through on plans to move those three systems to the cloud, most enterprises will have cloud-based systems for CRM, ITSM and HR, according to the results.
A fourth function, accounting and finance, is also gaining. Some 14 percent of companies surveyed have moved that back-office function to the cloud, with double that – 28.4 percent – planning to migrate it, the survey said.
