Biggest Private/Hybrid Challenge? Security

More than half – 51 percent - of 160 survey respondents who have implemented a private cloud or support a hybrid cloud infrastructure said security was their most significant challenge.

And when it comes to the risks of cloud, the top three in a list provided in the survey focused on security issues: security defects in the technology (57 percent), unauthorized access to or a leak of proprietary information (39 percent), as well as that of customer information (35 percent).

Performance placed a distant second, at 29 percent, followed by compliance, lack of staff expertise and operational complexity – all tied at 25 percent.
