Deloitte: The Midmarket Gets Strategic
More than half — 52 percent — of respondents to Deloitte's survey say they approach technology investments for strategic value, up from less than 40 percent from similar surveys in the past two years. That suggests that more companies have caught up with "must have" investments and are thinking more long term.
As an example, almost all mid-market companies represented in the survey are investigating how to implement Internet of Things (IoT) technology, with more than half of executives citing mature IoT deployments or building their IoT capabilities.
The takeaway for solution providers? Look beyond mere maintenance investments with mid-market customers and get a feel for how they would like to invest in technology over the next few years.
