If you're a leader in a small-to-medium-sized business that's watching its spending, how do you make your best case for SD-WAN, IoT or unified communications to those who control the budget?

The UC is easy … just to be able to make all your users more efficient and … always available and ... You can use the technology to somewhat cut down what your mobile expense may or may not be. I think that’s a good way to position it.

The SD-WAN … that's bigger bandwidth, cheaper price. And better quality of experience, so [taken together] that’s kind of a no-brainer … and I think that's why the market's growing so fast.

The IoT side is a little bit different. I think for the small to medium-sized guys, it's really hard to figure out the application piece of it and the business intelligence benefits that you're going to get out of it. It becomes big data, and unless you have a very nailed-down scope of work or requirements, I see that really tough for small to medium-sized guys.
