Come Together? Or Not?

Only 30 percent of respondents to a study by PointSource – an IT consulting firm that focuses on digital transformation – say departments across their businesses "always come together" to solve problems. About 37 percent said departments often come together.

"The right company culture is the secret ingredient to successful digital transformation," PointSource said in its report. "A strong cultural foundation supports strategic decisions, and organizations should do all they can to institute a culture where digital transformation is top priority."

On the bright side, 85 percent of respondents said that teams across departments in their organizations are aligned when it comes to pursuing common organizational goals.
