How can this be helpful in organizations in which the CIO is a strategic player?

I think that's obviously the case. [By saying,] "We've done this, you can take advantage of this," they can show wins and everything. But I also think it puts them in a position that as they're sitting and listening to supply chain problems or business problems that they could look at it and go, "This is the same kind of process that we do internally." … I think they can view the business world in a different light, and if it becomes more apparent to them … they can apply these processes and this technology to the business processes.
