Security Issues Will Slow The Internet Of Things

As we start to deploy sensors and automation to the world around us, security incidents will highlight the reliance that IoT will have on true authenticity of technology. If we think about the acceptance (or at least press) of things like self-driving cars, door locks that we can release using a smart phone and digital transaction systems like Uber, there will be some high profile “incidents” that highlight the need for establishing a much higher level of confidence in the sensors around our world. This will include cloud directories and the take off of security. SSL will become the default for everything.
