Partners Can Address Mid-Market Customers With Up To 5,000 Employees

"For channel partners, this is somewhat of a white space when it comes to VDI," O'Farrell said. Small real estate firms, local law firms, and regional companies with up to 5,000 employees have been tough for channel partners to get into with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

"The onus is on us to help people understand that VDI is no longer for the big enterprise or the big IT organization," O'Farrell said. "There's a persistent perception that VDI is difficult and costly, and you have to build out your own back end. Those are now misperceptions. Now you can stand up a VDI environment in half a day and scale it up easily. The more we get that word out that VDI is ready for prime time … those afraid to dip (their) toe in the water should give it a shot."
