Dell has added capabilities to its appliance in its Wyse for Citrix offering for smaller businesses. The updates create a cloud-client solution in a box.

"Basically, everything you need is in there: Hardware, storage, server, hypervisor, Citrix and licensing are all taken care of," Dan O’Farrell, senior director of product marketing for Dell Cloud Client-Computing, told IT Best of Breed. "Out of box, you can power it on, connect to the network, use a setup wizard and you've got up to 300 virtual desktops per device," O'Farrell said.

The system is intended for end users with 300 employees up to 5,000 employees.
