New IoT Security Findings

An important IoT security report released by the non-profit, open-source prpl Foundation identified some of the main problems with IoT security today.

Three key finding in the report include:

1) Network connectivity can be easily exploited, allowing for hackers to remotely hack in.

2) Firmware update systems in many IoT devices is flawed because they’re not signed.

3) IoT systems’ proprietary and binary codes can be found online or reverse-engineered with debugging tools.
