Clear Opportunities From Cloud

Want to sell more cloud solutions? There's still a lot of revenue to grab, according to the results of a recent survey of U.S. technology and business executives by solution provider giant Unisys.

Despite the fact that the cloud has been mainstream over the last few years, businesses still rely heavily on their on-premise data centers, as nearly half of the respondents – 46 percent – say three-quarters of their IT environments are there.

But that could change within two years, the survey found, as 68 percent of respondents foresee at least half of their IT resting on private cloud. Meanwhile, just 42 percent predict that level of migration to public cloud.
