Conversica, a provider of artificial intelligence-based lead management software for sales and marketing, believes many sales teams fail to respond effectively to inbound inquiries. That can be a potential deflator when marketing – which aims to generate interest that can translate into inbound sales – and sales are trying to work together to pump up revenue.

Conversica found that one-third of companies it surveyed did not respond at all to a direct, specific sales inquiry. Of those that did, more than two-thirds gave up after just one or two tries.

Conversica advocates that sales representatives be prompt in responding to inquiries, and be persistent.
