12 U.S. Markets That Could Offer Security Services Opportunities

The 'High Demand' Dozen

Do your service offerings include security? If so, there are a dozen major markets in the United States that have a high demand for cybersecurity talent and where customers may have a tough time bringing it aboard.

According to technology talent provider Randstad Technologies, businesses in the health care, retail and financial services industries have been hunting for cybersecurity talent for several years.

“Securing skilled workers, particularly in IT, is getting more complex and challenging, and many decision-makers see it as one of the largest internal threats to meeting business performance targets,” Dino Grigorakakis, vice president of recruiting at Randstad, said in a statement.

As demand has increased in the 12 markets, more companies are moving operations to secondary markets like St. Louis, Charlotte, Nashville and Orlando to find top talent, according to Randstad.

Here are the 12 markets, with data from Wanted Analytics, which worked with Randstad on the survey. Demand in these markets was based on the number of employers competing for talent and number of open job postings.
