Businesses are struggling to keep up with an increase in threats and attacks, and for most of those on the front lines of defense, defining their career paths has become a challenge, according to a global survey on the state of the cybersecurity profession.

Nearly two-thirds of cybersecurity professionals are struggling to define where their careers are headed, according to the survey, conducted by the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and industry analyst firm Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG).

As those professionals struggle to find the road forward in their careers – while their organizations struggle to keep pace with the always increasing level of security threats – solution providers are being called on to help.
