Why was it important for Carousel to ramp up its telecom practice?

Carousel has been in the business of selling hardware and managed services, and we are one of the largest VARs in the country. I came to the company with a lot of enthusiasm when I talked to the owners about building out the practice. They recognized the opportunity, after I put a business plan together, that [carrier services] is a new source of recurring revenue. More than that, there was interest in giving customers a better experience. Telecom is an area [in which] a lot of customers struggle and is a big headache. But to be able to offer a more complete solution to a customer and be that champion technology company that can help them, we believe that gives us a sustainable advantage in the market and lets us offer a more complete solution.
