Even though legacy and core modernization was the highest in current IT spending, only 28 percent of CIOs surveyed said it will have a significant impact on their business in the next two years, Deloitte found.
But all that investment could be laying the groundwork for the future, Deloitte noted. As investments in digital, analytics, and cloud increasingly depend on core systems, there’s an opportunity to shift core modernization to establish the foundation for more disruptive technologies, the solution provider added.
