Why Quality of Experience Has Become Critical For Solution Providers

Networking Vendor VP:  QoE Can Determine Solution Provider Success

As services are becoming a more critical component to solution providers' profitability, Quality of Experience (QoE) – a quantitative measure of a customer's experience with a service -- is increasingly defining how successful a channel partner can be, according to Branko Miskov (pictured), vice president of product marketing for Boston-based networking vendor Exinda.

"As more organizations embrace the cloud for business-critical applications, solution providers have started to offer more cloud-based services to round out their product and managed services portfolios," Miskov said in an email interview with CRN. "The challenge is, how do you maintain QoE for these cloud-based apps and services?"

QoE expands on quality of service by taking in every factor that contributes to the overall perceived customer experience of a service, which can make or break a deal for solution providers.  Measuring QoE helps channel partners understand what may be wrong with their services, or enables them to find new opportunities.

Miskov breaks down for IT Best of Breed the biggest opportunities for solutions providers in this space and the issues affecting QoE in 2016.
