Verizon’s Water Utilities Platform

Verizon launched a new IoT platform for water utilities that simplifies water system modernization. Rather than upgrade a system all at once, utilities can now deploy, integrate and manage the services they want on a per-meter basis with Verizon's new Grid Wide Intelligent Water solution. The solution tracks water consumption, detects leaks and sends out alerts when backflow events occur.

Verizon says there are 35,000 small to midsize water utilities around the country that can benefit from the platform, part of Verizon's larger Grid Wide platform, which already includes electric utilities.
