Q&A: SADA Systems CEO On Public Cloud Security

Has Public Cloud Security Turned The Corner?

Are businesses become more confident in the security of the public cloud? According to a recent survey by solution provider SADA Systems, it may have turned the corner.

The SADA survey found that 58 of more than 200 IT managers said public cloud was the most secure, flexible and cost-effective solution for their organizations, and 51 percent called data security better in the cloud than in their own data centers.

But the survey by the North Hollywood, Calif.-based company – No. 342 on CRN's Solution Provider 500 - also found that managing public cloud resources remains a challenge for many companies, with 43 percent saying they will continue to use third-party consultants for that, while 45 percent said it's more cost-effective to outsource those activities.

What lies ahead for solution providers? IT Best Of Breed spoke with SADA's CEO, Tony Safoian (pictured). Here's an edited version of that interview.
