Insight Enterprises bought Datalink for $258 million to strengthen its data center services offerings around hybrid cloud, converged and hyper-converged infrastructure. The deal boosted the $5.5 billion company's services revenue by more than 50 percent and established relationships with next-generation data center vendors Pure Storage, Nimble Storage and Nutanix. Three of Datalink's top four executives – including CEO Paul Lidsky – left the company as part of the acquisition.
