Mache explained that while this means it's a great time to be a solution provider, many are being consumed by technology's evolution. With brand new technology being unveiled all the time, solution providers have to adapt and learn – all while running a business.

According to Mache, solution provider execs are asking: "How do we scale? How do we hire the talent we want to hire? Who is going to one-up me and who is smarter than me at this? What if my solution is not so good?

"It's tough adapting," he said. "You can only do so much reading and learning and trying to keep up. At the same time, older employees and younger employees want different things." Mache said solution providers of all sizes need to revisit both their long-term and short-term plans to better prioritize them.
