Mobile security is becoming a bigger issue for enterprises. During the fourth quarter of 2015, the number of enterprises with compromised devices increased 42 percent, according to a new report by MobileIron, the provider of mobile device management and enterprise mobility services.

According to MobileIron’s security report for the quarter, 20 percent of enterprises surveyed had outdated mobile security policies, meaning that the mobile IT administrator has changed a policy on the console but had not spread that to all devices.

Sean Ginevan, senior director of strategy at Mountain View, Calif.-based MobileIron, explained that channel partners have a crucial role to play as mobile security evolves for customers, particularly in educating businesses.
