Penetration Testing

Security vendors are increasingly seeking solution providers that have the skilled staff to consult with an organization’s security and IT personnel and conduct a thorough penetration test based on the organization’s requirements. A basic penetration test should assess network security defenses, evaluate configurations and system maintenance and identify and prioritize a list of weaknesses that need addressing.  A full and thorough test will include port scanning, denial of service testing, and testing of networking security equipment including firewalls, routers and intrusion detection systems. A penetration testing team should test access controls, wireless security and the organization’s perimeter, identifying configuration weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
