Apple added an important productivity function to the latest iPhone 6s release called 3D Touch. The feature allows you to press firmly on your screen and “peek” at the contents of such things as email without actually opening a message. The promise of 3D Touch is that it gives developers the ability to add convenience and new levels of productivity to apps.

For the most part, third-party developers haven’t tweaked their apps to support 3D Touch. One company that has updated its app to support 3D Touch is dominant note-taking app maker Evernote. Using 3D Touch with Evernote’s new app, you can quickly create new notes, set reminders and search for existing notes all by just pressing down a little harder within the app.
