Hardware Vendors Hang Out 'Help Wanted' Signs For Channel Pros

Looking for a clear sign that the IT industry is in the middle of massive change? The job listings of the largest vendors provide an unambiguous message: They're hiring.

In fact, large legacy vendors are seeking to fill hundreds of channel-focused positions, perhaps a sign of the level and speed of IT industry change currently roiling the market.

"A lot of the channel hiring is a reflection on how much industry change we have," said Patrick Moorhead, president of Moor Insight & Strategy. "Behind many of the hirings, we have big company strategy changes at HP, Dell EMC, IBM and Lenovo. CRN compiled a sampling of open, channel-focused jobs at major IT vendors, and it shows demand for a wide range of roles – from entry-level to executive – as these companies try to fill their channel rosters as market change accelerates.
