What Does It Take To Be CISO Of The USA?
Submitted by Sarah Kuranda on
The role of chief information security officer looks a little bit different at every company that has one. They can have diverse responsibilities, report to different leaders and lead teams of a variety of sizes. As the federal government looks to invest more in security as part of President Obama’s $4 trillion budget plan for fiscal year 2017, it has also created a position of federal CISO.
While no one has been named to the role just yet, here’s what that job will entail and what sort of qualifications are required to lead the security vision for an organization the size of the federal government.
For VARs, these requirements can provide some perspective and inspiration as far as what to include in job descriptions as they look to expand their own security practices.
