Used intelligently, social media can help organizations collaborate, communicate, make decisions faster, identify and take advantage of business opportunities.
But to do social media properly, organizations need to understand not only how to use these tools, but how to avoid pitfalls that come with them. That starts at the top, where CEOs set the tone, strategy and boundaries for social media.
In a recent Harvard Business Review blog, Accenture's Robert J. Thomas and Yaarit Silverstone tackle some of the things that top executives can do to be smarter about social media.
