Over the past year, Computer Design & Integration (CDI) has bet big on social media marketing, and it is starting to pay off.

The solution provider, No. 83 on the CRN SP500 list, has invested heavily in social media, bringing on a consultant and ramping up its engagements and analytics. A year later, the company has seen tremendous benefits to its brand and bottom line, marketing director Lindsey Bohm said.

"We have been experiencing hyper growth," Bohm said. "It just keeps growing."

While Bohm didn't say exactly how much of CDI's growth was driven directly through social media, she credited the company's 30 percent year-over-year growth and multiple award wins in part to its "full force" push into social media. In particular, CDI was one of only 26 solution providers in the nation to be awarded the prestigious Triple Crown Award, recognizing companies who made the SP500, Tech Elite 250 and Fast Growth 150 lists.

"It's pivotal for us in sparking that brand to be public, bigger and faster than it would have been otherwise," Bohm said.

CDI is a Teterboro, N.J.-based solution provider with 75 employees. Since its founding in 1995, the company has developed an expertise in integrated, full-service IT solutions. More recently, the company has branched into cloud, SDN, storage, end-user computing and managed services.

The company's social media push began a little over a year ago, with a full go-to-market strategy around social media networks. It is part of a larger corporate rebranding and refresh, Bohm said. She said the initiative centered around looking to connect with customers where they were, on social media and mobile devices.
