CIOs Want Advanced Analytics, Necessitating New IT Systems

Gartner's final observation from its survey was that CIOs are recognizing the need for modern, advanced analytics measures. In order to address this, infrastructure and operations leaders should lay an IT foundation to formulate predictive analytics and run data-led experiments, Gartner analysts noted. 

Meanwhile, CIOs are also realizing the importance of IT business value metrics, and re-focusing on analytics for their own teams where new metrics will be needed to drive businesses forward, according to Gartner.
