Intel: Confidence In Cloud Security Grows

A More Trustworthy Public Cloud?

Has the public cloud turned the corner on trust?

In a study released this week to coincide with RSA Conference 2017, Intel Security said the trust and perception of public cloud services is improving to a point where more than two of every three technology professionals trust public clouds.

In its second annual report on cloud security – based on a global survey of more than 2,000 IT professionals, Intel found that improved trust and perception of the cloud, as well as better understanding by senior management of its risks, is encouraging more organizations to store sensitive data in the public cloud.

A "cloud first" strategy, for many companies, "is progressing and remains the objective,” said Raj Samani, EMEA chief technology officer for Intel Security, in a statement.
