Four Reasons EMC's Chad Sakac Is Big On Hyper-Convergence

Three Flavors Of VxRack
Introduced a little more than a year ago, VxRack was EMC’s converged division’s first foray into hyper-convergence without Cisco. VxRack can be installed in SDDC, FLEX and Neutrino configurations, and each is aimed at a different segment of the market. SDDC is for customers standardized on vShpere and that want to start smaller and scale “really big;” FLEX is for customers that want HCI that works with vSperhe or Hyper-V, as well as with Linux, kernel-based virtual machines (KVM) or containers. Sakac says FLEX can scale “enormously.”
Neutrino, meanwhile, is for customers focused on cloud-native apps.
