Intel Top IoT Exec Heads For The Door

Intel's Doug Davis, who ran the company's IoT group, announced his departure Monday after 32 years with the vendor.

Davis, senior vice president and general manager of Intel's Internet of Things Group, had his role diminished in November after the appointment of Venkata Renduchintala, who was previously co-head of Qualcomm's chip business. Santa Clara-based Intel created a new Client and IoT Business and System Architecture Group, bringing together several groups, including its Platform Engineering, Client Computing, IoT, Software and Services, and Design and Technology Solutions groups.
