What security threats will enterprises face in 2015? [Q&A]

Last year saw a number of high profile security incidents hit businesses. From attacks on individual companies to bugs like Heartbleed that had the potential to affect large numbers of organizations. Can we expect more of the same in 2015 or will the threat landscape continue to evolve? We spoke to Mark Bermingham, director of global B2B marketing at Kaspersky Lab, to find out. Cloud security becomes a boardroom concern

Moving systems and data to the cloud is increasingly common, but it inevitably leads to concerns about security and those worries are now reaching the boardroom. This is according to new research by the non-profit Cloud Security Alliance which looks at how companies are currently approaching the cloud, including their views on shadow IT, obstacles preventing cloud adoption, and security priorities. The report includes responses from more than 200 IT and security professionals from varying sized companies around the world.

A Look At BlackBerry's Internet of Things Strategy

BlackBerry’s platform will build upon the Project Ion initiative that it launched last May, and will leverage technologies that have enabled the company to become a leader in the mobile data security and embedded systems industries. The solution will be initially targeted towards areas that manage highly mobile, high-value resources such as the shipping and automotive sectors. However, the company intends to eventually extend the platform into other areas including the smart energy sector and the healthcare field.

China Arrests Men For Tunneling Into iPhone 6 Warehouse (AAPL)

More iPhones are now being sold in China than anywhere else on Earth. But instead of lining up to buy iPhones at the Apple store, three men in Beijing took quite a different approach. Police said Wednesday they had arrested three men for digging a tunnel into a Beijing warehouse and stealing 240 iPhone 6 handsets, state-run Xinhua News reported Wednesday. The phones were collectively valued at 1.4 million yuan, or about $228,496.  According to Xinhua, one suspect, whose last name is Chang, knew the warehouse because he used to be a driver for the logistics company that owned the building.
