It's been roughly a year since Netformx acquired VARCompliance, adding to its wheelhouse software that helps solution providers track vendor certifications and the dollars they're earning from those vendors' incentive rewards programs.

It was a deal, Netformx says, that is already paying off big time for its solution provider customers – and especially for those working with Cisco.

"We have 100 Cisco partners right now, globally and from different regions of the world, on our platform," Netformx CEO Ittai Bareket said in a recent interview.

The VARCompliance platform – since rebranded as Netformx PartnerCentral – gives solution providers an automated system for tracking their vendor certification levels, along with the rewards they receive from vendor rebate and incentive programs, such as Cisco's VIP.

It's a multi-vendor platform, but Bareket said Netformx has especially seen an uptick in adoption from Cisco solution providers, a trend he attributed to the breadth and intricacies of programs like VIP.

PartnerCentral isn't the only tool Netformx offers the Cisco channel. The San Jose, Calif.-based company is perhaps best known for its infrastructure design tools, which help partners not only design solutions to best meet customer requirements, but to do so in the most profitable way possible.

Its DesignXpert platform, for instance, helps partners piece together solutions that include the highest possible number of VIP-eligible Cisco product SKUs, a process Netformx calls "design-to-profit."
